bistronomic

With an intimate and cozy environment, Bistronomic brings the atmosphere of a French bistro to Chicago. Bistronomic is a family-owned restaurant, with owners Chef Martial & Lulu Noguier giving their warm hospitality and attention to detail. Expressing the identity of Bistronomic in the menu design was the challenge of the project. The color palette takes from the blue color of the French flag and uses it in a monochromatic scheme. The Fleur de lis, a symbol of French royalty, is used in the logo as it represents perfection, light and life. The typography choices were clean, simple and modern to allow for optimal readability. The menu design comes together to represent the character and identity of Bistronomic.

Red Rose

Red Rose® Tea is an established tea brand in business since 1890. Developing designs for a brand with a long history and identity is a challenge. The project included an additional challenge to develop packaging for a new brand product. Tea biscuits were selected as the new product. The packaging is cylinder-shaped for a more modern feel and a better vehicle to hold the circle-shaped tea biscuits. Additionally, updated tea packaging was created. The new package designs include updated typography and colorful illustrations.

Temptations

Temptations™ Temptations™ brand captures the fun, bonding experience of giving cats treats. This project's goal was to refresh the brand while maintaining the brand's identity, which cat owners love. The logo redesign was inspired by the anatomy of the cat (tail, paws) and the name of the brand, Temptations™,  with the use of the tilted halo. The existing color palette was kept as it is well-identified by consumers, but the illustrations were changed. The existing brand had heavily outlined and outdated illustrations. The package redesign is more modern and clean, with whimsical and playful illustrations. Overall, the redesign gives the brand an updated look while maintaining its identity.

First Slice Pie

First Slice Pie Cafe has three locations in Chicago: Ravenswood, Ravenswood Manor and Andersonville. The cafes are friendly and inviting neighborhood spaces. The challenge of this project was to create an identity that could capture the cafes' personalities.  Inspiration came from the classic pink and/or polka dot bakery boxes which evoke the warm feeling of nostalgia. The playful typography and whimsical color palette work together to create a cohesive brand identity.
